History
Since 1924, Valley Memorial Homes has been preserving the dignity and independence of older adults by providing long term care services in the community. Valley Memorial Homes is a Christian, non-profit organization owned by 26 area Lutheran congregations.
A variety of programs and services offered include senior apartments, licensed assisted living, and skilled nursing care. All of these components provide a full continuum of care within our organization.
Volunteer opportunities abound within the Valley Memorial Homes organization. Opportunities for assisting with recreational activities and spiritual programs as well as through auxiliaries are available. Volunteers are always welcome. The Bethesda Society, Tufte Manorettes, and the Valley Memorial Club, formerly the VM1000 Club, provide support through funding of special equipment, programs and projects for the corporation.
