Woodside Village is the skilled nursing facility at 4000 Valley Square, a retirement community in Grand Forks, which also includes Wheatland Terrace, an assisted living facility, Country Estates, a senior apartment building, and Town Square, which promotes the warmth of the caring community through its café, auditorium, library, exercise room, and hair salon.
The physical design of Woodside Village maximizes privacy and dignity for the residents. Most of our rooms are single-occupancy with private bathrooms. Each neighborhood has its own areas for dining and activity within the nursing home. The Hearthstone neighborhood is designed to support the changing needs of those diagnosed with dementia or Alzheimer's disease.
Woodside Village actively seeks opportunities to promote relationships and build community among our staff, families, and residents. Our resident-centered philosophy of care focuses on giving residents meaningful choices, opportunities for companionship, and variety and spontaneity in their day.
"When I call or come for a visit my Mom says, "It's perfect!" She tells me about her new friends, the great staff and how they take such good care of her - beginning with a wake up kiss and hug with her morning pills - to being tucked in at night. My Mom was always a bit shy and timid - not anymore! She goes to almost all the activities - exercise, devotional, Sunday church services, birthday activities, concerts, helps make cookies and other treats, plays bingo (and wins). She loves the pretty dining room and the excellent meals. I can hear the "smile" in her voice. This has become a place to "live." What a blessing it has been for all of us and an answer to our prayers. Thank you, Woodside Village." - Daughter of a Woodside Village Resident
Our caring staff is the greatest attribute of Woodside Village. The care may be expressed through a visit from a chaplain, a hug from a nurse, a housekeeper who knows just how a resident likes their room arranged, or the compassionate manner in which the certified nursing assistant provides care.
